I’m a writer, illustrator, and mom of three curious kids, drawn to stories about family, friendship, and the strange, beautiful stretch of life called mid-life. I write mostly about relationships and parenting—especially the small moments that end up meaning everything.
My work has been featured in So God Made a Mother and A Mother’s Story (both New York Times bestsellers), as well as So God Made a Grandma (Tyndale Press). You can also find my writing in Her View From Home, Business Insider, Huffpost and Calla Press.
When I’m not writing, I’m probably deep in the Grand Canyon on a Rim-to-River hike or browsing the shelves of our local used bookstore. I lived in Cornwall for a season, and its wild coastline still shows up in my work from time to time.
I have a Master’s in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics, a Bachelor’s in Music Performance, and I studied scenic painting at Cobalt Studios in New York. All of that makes its way into my creative life, one way or another.I also run a Substack called Edit Again, where I share a behind-the-scenes look at the novel-writing process. I recently finished a YA cozy fantasy manuscript and am currently querying. Whether I’m working on an essay, a poem, or a kids’ book, I’m always looking for what’s quietly true—and how to say it just right.
